Hotel Julien Dubuque
The rebirth of a hotel. Inspired by the renaissance of downtown Dubuque (especially the Old Main District) and the ongoing development at the Port of Dubuque, descendants of Louis Pfohl began a second extensive renovation in late 2007 of this historic hotel. The renovation began with an exterior restoration of the stonework and windows. Soon after, the hotel closed completely for an overhaul renovation of all interior spaces. Hotel Julien Dubuque had its grand reopening in September 2009.
Now, after a $33 million complete renovation, guests from all over the world can experience this remarkable boutique hotel, offering the area’s most elegant accommodations and impeccable service. Hotel Julien Dubuque is a true landmark of luxury and sophistication. The hotel’s contemporary elegance and sumptuous comfort complement the grandeur of the historic Old Main District, which is home to many of the incredible sights and cultural experiences the region has to offer.
