Job Overview

Position Summary

This is a position in the Police Department where individuals ages 16 to 20 perform duties for a temporary period of time working with flexible hours to work around school and extra-curricular activities. Occasional weekend work may be required. Employees in this class work within general guidelines to increase compliance with the State law that prohibits the sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors. 

Job Duties

This position serves as an undercover agent that enters establishments that have a valid City of Dubuque liquor license for the purpose of enforcement of underage alcohol and tobacco sale violations. Incumbents shall conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with what is expected of all City of Dubuque employees.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license or state issued ID.

• Must be ages 16-20 years of age at time of application.
