POSITION DESCRIPTION
BARTENDER

BASIC FUNCTION

• Provide alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
   

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to: Food & Beverage Supervisor
   

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare drinks for customers

• Prepare drink orders for servers

• Balance sales to POS report at end of shift

• Observe customers for alcohol consumption

• Set up bar area

• Clean bar area

• Cut fruits for drinks

• Other duties as assigned
   

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• No formal education required
• Prefer bartending experience
   

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

• Able to mix and create alcoholic drinks
• Able to communicate with customers and co-workers
• Ability to determine when to “cut-off” patrons who consume too much alcohol

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing for long periods of time
• Walking
• Repetitive motion movements
• Pushing, pulling, balancing
• Climbing, reaching, kneeling, crouching
• Lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Talking
   

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

• Inside work
• Occasional outside work
• Loud noise
• Exposure to cigarette smoke
• Exposure to cleaning fluids
• Use of CO2 tanks
