What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a skilled Superintendent to lead the field execution of high-quality commercial construction projects (project range: $5M-$10M) throughout Eastern Iowa. 

Location: Dubuque–Coralville, IA (Project-based with regional travel)

What You’ll Do:

As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, enforcing safety, and delivering projects on time and within budget. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and lead the on-site team from groundbreaking through closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage jobsite operations and maintain progress against a 4-week lookahead and master schedule.
• Lead subcontractor coordination, daily safety meetings, and weekly foreman meetings.
• Monitor quality control, ensure clean and organized jobsites, and maintain SWPPP compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation including daily logs, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Facilitate punch list completion, inspections, and project closeout procedures.
• Support and mentor field staff including Assistant Superintendents, Carpenters, and Laborers.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Superintendent experience on commercial construction projects in the $5–$15M range.
• 5–7 years of commercial construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally. 

Physical Requirements: 

Mobility: Superintendents are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel and climb for extended periods of time and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to repetitively lift and/or move up to 20 lbs., push pull up to 40 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions: This position requires employee to work indoors and outdoors in inclement weather, including wet surfaces and high variation in temperatures.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, power tools, and heights.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.  The noise level in the work environment is highly variable.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and stressful environment.
