Origin Design is continually seeking highly qualified individuals to enhance and expand our staff to better serve our clients. We are currently hiring a full-time Project Manager for traffic and transportation projects. The position will be based out of our Dubuque or Davenport, Iowa office. Remote locations in the tri-state area may also be considered.

Primary Responsibilities.
- Leading the project team to ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Negotiate contracts with clients.
- Planning, executing and monitoring the project.
- Identifying and navigating around project risks.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines.
- Recognize and manage project priorities.
- Direct project assignments and tasks for staff engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Maintain knowledge of developing and current technology and practices related to the engineering profession.
- Attend public and client meetings.
- Oversee permitting and regulatory requirements such as Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Natural Resources, Corps of Engineers, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife.
- Oversee and direct preparation and review of plans and specifications for traffic and transportation engineering projects.
- Oversee construction administration, including coordination with contractors and inspectors, requests for information, site observations, pay applications, and submittal reviews.
- Assist with developing relationships with potential new clients.
- Make regular contact and visits with potential new clients to build relationships and to promote Origin Design.
- Make regular contact with and visits to existing clients to maintain relationships, assess Origin Design performance, client satisfaction, and identify upcoming opportunities.
- Document existing and potential client information in company CRM, including tracking contacts and conversations with current and prospective clients.
- Participate in proposal Go/No Go process to provide input on the project and client.
Position Requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Clear, effective verbal and written communicator.
- Effective planning and organization: Use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans.
- Five or more years of experience in a project management or related role.
- Experience managing traffic & transportation projects preferred.
