How can you make an impact?

As part of the Portfolio Marketing team, the Product Marketing Manager will leverage market research and voice of customer data to support growth and success for our Advanced Placement and Electives solutions. This role will also serve as a contributor to our Career and Technical Education marketing effort. This marketing leader will be responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact marketing initiatives that include market research, customer segmentation, market assessment, competitive positioning, product sampling, go-to-market launches, compelling pricing strategy, integrated marketing campaigns, developing sales tools and customer-facing presentations, setting event-based and in-market promotional strategies, developing and delivering Sales training experiences, as well as informing product development across product lines.

 

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This position requires 25% travel. 

 

What you will be doing:

  • Partner with Product Development to define target audiences, personas, and feature vision, ensuring alignment from strategic planning through product launch.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to bring the voice of the customer into every initiative and decision.
  • Conduct and synthesize market research and data insights to shape product strategy, positioning, and go-to-market planning.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and messaging that address customer needs and differentiate products in the market.
  • Manage creative production for content, promotional materials, training resources, and sales enablement assets across print and digital channels.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and recommendations that inform marketing strategies and strengthen sales support efforts.
  • Drive product storytelling through clear, engaging narratives that communicate impact, innovation, and brand purpose.
  • Demonstrate proven success partnering with product teams and executing effective product launches that achieve business objectives.

 

We are looking for someone with:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Marketing and/or Product Management in the K-12 educational publishing industry.
  • Understanding of both the secondary curriculum market as well as the Advanced Placement and Electives market and customer.
  • Strong writing, storytelling/messaging, and communication skills.
  • Must have experience with successful product launches.
  • Led segmentation, positioning, pricing, campaigning, and new product development practices.
  • Confidence and willingness to take risks and make smart decisions based on data.
  • Strong ability to influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience working with Sales leadership to identify improvements in Marketing and sales support strategy.
  • Desire to learn, ask questions and challenge conventional thinking.

The pay range for this position is between $76,000 - $100,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.  Additionally, a full range of medical and/or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered.
