Overview

We're seeking an Emergency Department RN to join our team! In this role, you'll be a part of our emergency department team that specializes in emergency medicine and provides care to a variety of patients from newborns to geriatrics who come by ambulance or walk in. The Emergency Department provides the initial treatment and stabilization of patients who come with a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, some of which can be life threatening.

Location: Finley Hospital- Dubuque, IA

Shift: 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week)

Variable Schedule: 11:00 am - 11:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 3:00 am, for 72 hours per pay period. There is a holiday and every third weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide nursing care for patients, with actual or potential health care problems
• Plan and direct the nursing care for individuals, patients, groups of patients and their families, coordinating care in collaboration with other health care professionals
• Perform physical exams and health histories, provide health promotion and education, administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions
• Interpret patient information and makes critical decisions about needed actions

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate's degree in Nursing required
• Must obtain a (BSN) Bachelor's degree in Nursing within 12 years of your start date with UnityPoint Health- Finley Hospital

License/Certifications:

• Must hold an active license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa
